How are service ratings calculated?

Service ratings are calculated using statistics from Citizens Advice.

They take into consideration the accessibility of a supplier’s website for information, online billing, the number and severity of customer complaints received, and the availability of the service call centre. Deductions are made to the service ratings for recent fines from the energy regulator Ofgem.

The results are displayed in an easy-to-understand star system from 1- very poor, to 5-excellent.
