Loop Version 1: How to find your annualised usage on your legacy Loop phone app or web account

You can use this annualised usage total when switching energy provider using the new Loop app

 

This article is only for users of the first generation Loop product.  If your hardware looks like the images below you're in the right place - please read on:

                                                                                                                                                                                  To determine your annual electricity usage, Loop will use the daily readings it has stored for up to the last year. Where less than a year's worth of daily readings are known, Loop will use as many days as it can and calculate the remainder based on your patterns of usage.


On your Loop phone app

  1. Click on the three bar icon on the top right to access the main menu.
  2. Tap on “Explore”.
  3. To determine your annual electricity usage, Loop will use the daily readings it has stored for up to the last year. If less than a year's worth of daily readings are known, our Loop algorithms will use all available days and calculate the remainder based on your patterns of usage.
  4. When you initially open the explore page to show a year in either kWh or as a cost value, by default it will only show 11 data points so you need make a quick adjustment to show a full year’s usage.
  5. To do this, tap on the small yellow arrow beneath the box displaying “day” and select “month” from the drop down menu.
  6. Tap on the bottom left arrow to go back one month.  This will push the “view” starting date back one month and, by doing so, will ensure you get the full 12 months’ data included in your annualised usage calculation.  
  7. Now select the appropriate time frame by clicking on the small yellow arrow beneath the box displaying “day” and select “year” from the drop down menu.
  8. Select the correct value output by clicking on the small yellow arrow beneath the box displaying “£” and select “kWh” from the drop down menu then tap on “Show Me”.
  9. The total usage for the last 12 months will be displayed below the graph on the bottom left: 

    “Total usage in this period - …..”

    If you have Loop gas monitoring installed, it will automatically display underneath the annualised usage for Electricity.

On the Loop Energy Saver web portal

 

  1. On the top menu, tap on “Explore”.
