      What is an in-home display (IHD)?

      An in-home display is a small digital display with a standard plug that links to your smart meter and shows your live energy use. 

      You should have been given this at the time your meter was installed.  It may not look like the example on the left. 

      Our sign-up process uses some information obtained from this display unit as a way of verifying your right to access energy data from that smart meter. 

      Don't worry if your display doesn't work, you'll still be able to register your meter by entering a code printed on the side.
