What is an MPAN?

An MPAN is a number that identifies electricity supply points. 

A Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) is a unique 13-digit reference number that identifies electricity supply points. 

There is an equivalent number called the MPRN for gas, but as not every property has gas we use the MPAN exclusively.
