Frequent questions: Using Loop

When will I start seeing my electricity usage on the Loop app?

As soon as you’ve finished the installation! You'll immediately see the electricity that you're currently using.

How are my energy savings calculated?

Loop monitors your total home energy usage from the smart clip in your electricity meter and takes into consideration the tariff details entered into your account.
Your data is then analysed to give an estimate on how much you could save from small energy saving changes, to switching your tariff.

Can I export my data?

No. There's no download or API access available at the moment.

If you decide to stop using Loop for any reason, we won’t be able to provide any of your data.

What happens to my data on account closure?

If you choose to delete your account it will be closed immediately.  Your personal data on our servers will be deleted within a day and backup data within 30 days.

Any backups of your phone will contain your Loop data but restoring that data is not supported.

How long will it take to receive a refund?

We aim to issue your refund within 2 weeks from the date we receive your returned device.

Is there a subscription fee for Loop?

Yes, there is a £12 annual subscription fee.

Your first year's subscription is included in the purchase price.  From Year 2 onwards it is £12 per year and this will provide you with access to all the latest features and updates..
